How to send e mail from SAP SYSTEM

hi

    can  any one guide me how to send email from system, we are google mx record and default  domain is google. and follow

    this sap note 455140 - Configuration of e-mail, fax, paging/SMS via SMTP,and did

  all the settings according to this note. but   mail is not going out  give the bellow

  error  "Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error".

smtp service is properly activated in sicf, and port  no 25 is properly open. so please can

any one guide me to resolve this issue.we are trying on sap ides ERPEHP7 SYSTEM ON WINDOWS environment
