We are upgrading the BW system form Netweaver 7.3 to Netweaver7.3 EHP1.

For that we are using the SUM v9 lmt_05 , with the option nZDM (near Zero Downtime Mantainance)

We are facing the issue in the pre processing phase:

After upgradin to Enhancement Pack 7,

All the reports  (SAP and Own reports) under the transactions F.97, F.98 and F.99 are displayedbutDO NOT RUN.

In the DEBUG,  I see that the SUMBIT instructions were made IN COMMENT in the program MSERPF21.

Why this change ?

Hello,

I am in the process of upgrading our SAP NW AS JAVA from 7.01 (EHP1) to EHP2.

I  have downloaded all the deliveries through my MOPZ and I have launched the installation with EHPI 700.

When I am asked for the xml stack file I give the location where I have saved my xml stack file. When it reaches the prepare_jspm_queue in Ehp installer it is failing with the complain that cannot find a JSPM<>.SCA file, the respective patch file for the JSPM.

I have run many installation with EHPI (for ABAP stack, EHP4&5) and now I have realized that on EHP2 installation for Java, in the extraction phase I was not asked for the location of the deliveries.

The deliveries have been downloaded on a separate Filesystem which is used for all our deliveries.

Apparently the EHPI is looking for them either in an EPS/in location which doesn't exist on my Java system or in the location where I have saved my xml stack files.

Could you please give me an advice according to your experience?

Hi all,

I'm trying to build a Screen Enhancement with (new) BAdI concept.

But now I'm having a Problem. The new BAdI's don't allow variable Attributes  (instance/static attribute) in the BAdI Interface.

If I try to define an instance or static Attribute for the BAdI-Interface I get the following error message:

"BAdI interface <my_badi_if> contains non-constant attributes "

In my Screen Enhancement I have build a Subscreen with new fields in it. These field data couldn't be saved in the BAdI class (e.g. via BAdI-methods my_badi->get_data_from_screen... and my_badi->put_data_on_screen...) because having no attributes.

How these screen-data could be handled without BAdI-Interface-Attributes?

I am new to SAP ,Installing GRC 10  for doing POc for a company,

Installed NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02  its successfully done

Installed NBC 3.0

Downloaded SAP GUI and GRC components from SAP marketplace

Then i came to know that to deploy GRC component we need a SUM (software update manager tool) .

I downloaded from SAP marketplace and extracted it and kept it in src/sap/nsp/sum .

when i am trying to run it /.startup.bat gives error

The script cannot be started by a user other than a <SID>ADM user.

I tried to start it with C:\usr\sap\NSP\SUM\sdt\exe\go.bat server started ..

I accessed it from browser localhost:<portno> it started but gives error that no SID directory exist or current user is not authorized to perform operation on SID sirectory.Attaching screenshot for the same .

Please let me know am I missing something ? anything related to database.

We're currently doing EHP6 upgrade of our ECC quality system.

However, SUM appears to be on hold/hanged in PREPROCESSING PHASE: MAIN_DTTRANS/DOWNCONF_DTTRANS_BCK. From runtime of our development, mock and training environment, this step only took 15 minutes to 45 minutes. However, for our Quality system, this is running now for more than 4

hours.

This is currently executing the following step:

EXECUTING /usr/sap/E6Q/SUM/abap/exe/db6util -dg USER_EXIT_STATUS -

w /usr/sap/E6Q/SUM/abap/log/DB6UESTA.OUT

E6Q /usr/sap/E6Q/SUM/abap/log/DB6UESTA.LOG

When checked, DB6UESTA.OUT and DB6UESTA.LOG are not being updated.

Can anyone advise on how to fix this?

We already opened a HIGH OSS Incident to SAP, but they are taking time to respond. Thus, I opended this discussion in parallel.

We have freshly installed SAP ECC EHP6 system on RHEL 6.0 and we have a requirement to install SAP Content server and Cfolder as well which we are completely new to.

Could someone please assist us on the below queries :

• We are planning to install content server on Windows 2008, can we install Cfolder also on the same box or do we need to provision a separate server for c-folder also ? If yes how can this can be justified ?
• In service marketplace we could find guides for Content Server 6.40 on NW 2004S and C-folder 4.5 on NW 7.0, but finding difficulty to figure out the latest versions which would run on ECC6 EHP6. Is that like newer versions are included in any other package ?
• Need assistance in understanding where in Service Market Place we can find the software and installation guides for Content Server/C-Folder and hardware required for it.

I've generated PAT file from source system of basis release 701. I tried to load this PAT file in a customer system which is of basis release 700. It is throwing error as SAPK-701COINT*****  has an invalid basis release 701.

Is there any way to resolve this?

I'm facing a error in PREPARE_JSPM_QUEUE phase. I'm upgrade Solman 701 to 7.1 (windows with SQL). I'm using SOLMANUP.

Follow the error:

The validation of the deploy queue was not successful. Validation of queue sapjup-queue completed with error The stack does not match the system. Probably the system was changed after the stack was generated. Synchronize the system with SAP Solution Manager and then generate a new stack. Software component sap.com/SAP_JTECHF with version 7.01.7.6 is found on the system but in the stack it is listed with version 7.01.11.9. Software component sap.com/SWLIFECYCL with version 7.01.7.2 is found on the system but in the stack it is listed with version 7.01.11.0. Software component sap.com/BASETABLES with version 7.01.7.0 is found on the system but in the stack it is listed with version 7.01.11.0. There are 15 more error messages. See them all in E:\usr\sap\SMQ\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\JSPM\log\log_2014_03_25_21_57_16. JSPM version is 7.02.11.1.1. Current JSPM log directory is E:\usr\sap\SMQ\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\JSPM\log\log_2014_03_25_21_57_16. The following SAP Note 1399846 may contain solution for the problem.

So i has downloaded 90000110.CAR and 90000110.SAR and even un carred in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

I downloaded the SPAM/SAINT Update and executed it with SAPCAR in the directory of the  Application Server Folder. The original file KD74053.sar (6767 kb) is still in the folder, but a new file 'signature.smf' (5 kb) appeared.

What is that one for?

Next, I think that I should be able to take a next step with transaction SPAM (Support Package --> Load Packages --> From Application Server), but it's 'blanked out' and not accessible.

What are the next steps and how do I really get the SPAM/SAINT update working, so I can proceed to my actual goal, the Support Package Update.

I have installed SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5 ready system and I want to upgrade to EHP6. I am using the guide "Update of SAP Systems Using Software Update Manager 1.0 SP04" for instructions on how to us SUM.

I come stuck in the section:

5.2Downloading the Software Update Manager

When I follow the path I find SPAM/SAINT UPDATE 702, please guide.

I expected to find a tool much the same as the previous sap ehpi.

Can anyone advice on below issue?

ERROR: The program is unable to generate the add-on queue due to missing add-ons or Support Packages.    

Add the missing Support Packages or repeat the current step and change the add-on selection.

Missing Support Package(s):

I have manually download these components which is SAPK-10001INIWFNDGC and SAPK-10002INIWFNDGC and put it in the download directory and repeat the phase.

Besides, I also checked that these 2 components were inside EPS/in folder CSN0120061532 0083837 PAT and CSN0120061532 0079648 PAT

We are in a process of EHP 6 upgrade  on WIN2008 and got stuck in the execution. We are getting the following message in SUM (10SP07):

Checks after phase MAIN_SWITCH/SUBMOD_SWITCH_OLDREL/SUBMOD_CRR_LAST_CHTRANS/RUN_CRR_LAST were negative!

The error we find in the logs is - No tasks exist for transition "LAST_TRANSFER" and scenario "ISU".

We have followd note 167856 which describes this issue, however we are not able to start and stop the transfer as mentioned inthe note.

In transaction crr_control the status is " The replication of recordedchanges is not enabled".

When we try to start the transfer wee see a message on the bottom of the screen "transfer of changes is not enabled". and In the log section there is the message "No tasks exist for transition LAST_TRANSFER and scenario ISU".

We tried stopping and starting the shadow instance and reexecuting the phase in SUM but it continues to fail.
