Error during system update in phase MAIN_SHDCRE/SUBMOD_SHDDBCLONE/DBCLONE

Hello experts!

We updating our system from ERP 6.0 to ehp7 using SUM . We've faced with a problem  in phase MAIN_SHDCRE/SUBMOD_SHDDBCLONE/DBCLONE. In DBCLONE.ELG there is no any usefull information:

In sm21 there are  some oracle messages:

 

> ORA-00928: missing SELECT keyword

Database error 928

Database error 928 at EXE

 

How can we solve this problem ?

Dear All,

 

 

We are applying EHP6 upgrade for production installation.

 

During phase MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG the upgrade was stop with:

I had treid to logon shadow instance and modified ACCIT table.
But I get this massage.

Any idea how can I modified this shadow system?

Ehp4 to Ehp5 - Stuck in IS_SELECT phase.

Upgrading SAP ECC 6.0 Ehp4 IDES to EHp5.

 

Stuck in EHPi during configuration phase:

PREP_EXTENSION/SUB_MODEXTENSION_NEW/IS_SELECT

 

During "Add on selection", If i dont choose any thing I am presented

with the following message:

For the following Add-on component(s) the KEEP YOURS decision is not

longer valid,

since at least for one of the base components an Add-on upgrade has

been included:

 

C-CEE (changed base component: SAP_BASIS)

OTEXVIM (changed base component: SAP_BASIS)

TDAGBCA (changed base component: SAP_BASIS)

 

You need to change the decision of the above Add-on(s).

When I choose continue I am returned to the Add on selection screen,

and the three Add ons mentioned above are auto selected.

 

When I choose Continue I can choose between keeping the Add on at the

current version or providing a SAINT package.

 

I want to keep all three packages at the current version because I am

unable to find newer versions of those packages.

 

I found note:1262124 "Vendor Keys for Add-ons released with ERP

Enhancemnt Packages", However- when I provide the vendor key for the

relevant package and hit "Continue", nothing happens, regardless of

what I put in the VEndor Key field.

 

I have also searched for newer version of the 3 components, but could find no update. Current versions are:

 

C-CEE  110_604 patch level 000

OTEXVIM  516_700 patch level 002

TDAGBCA 110_600 patch level 002

 

Can anyone advise on how to proceeed?

EHP7 Ugrade - SUM Configuration Roadmap step

Dear Gurus,

 

I try to upgrade my Sandbox SAP ECC 6.0 EHP3 to EHP7. Thats's my first time making an EHP-Upgrade.

So I 've got a question to the configuration paramters in SUM. Do I have to follow any guidlines? For example: The number of batch processes should be the number in the system minus one?

SUM 01 SP 09 error in Postprocession Phase

Hello,

 

I'm upgrading SAP BW 7.01 to 731 and hang at the end of upgrade in Phase MAIN_POSTP/UEXP_SPDD.

During the Export of SPDD Transport, I run in tp error code 212.

In file versioning.log the following error description is available:

...

tp returncode summary:

meaning:
  could not access file as supposed (see dev_tp or SLOG731 for more details)
tp=>sapparam(1c): No Profile used.
tp=>sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline
SAPup> Process with PID 8748 terminated with status 212 at 20131123163508!

I suppose, that the call of tp with "-Dtransdir=\\HSRVESA1\sapmnt\trans\" is wrong, because I get the same failure when calling it in DOS Windows.

When I call it without the last \ eg -Dtransdir=\\HSRVESA1\sapmnt\trans the tp is working.

How can I Change this, so that the SUM is ending correctly and I can finish my upgrade?

How to unlock System during EHP-Upgrade without shadow instance

Hello Gurus,

 

I need to make a change in the System during an EHP Ugrade at the Step

MAIN_TRANSEXEC/PREACT_TRANS. Beause of the Error:

 

I've already found a note for this Issue: 912106

But I'm not allowed to make changes wit DDIC in the System and can't log in with another User.

 

Ich checked note 398100 and tried to unlock shadow instance but it seems that at this point there is no shadow instance:

 

Can you please help me with this issue?

Dear Gurus,

 

I am upgrading EHP3 to EHP7 on ERP6 with SUM. At the step MAIN_TRANSEXEC/PREACT_TRANS I get an error and I don't know what's to do. I tried already to repeat the step but the same error occurs.

EHP5 package and Extended Rebate Function

We are on EHP5 Enhancement package. We have deactivated the business function EA-ISE in SFW5 transaction which is required for Extended Rebate functionality. But, still, we are able to use the Extended rebate function.

 

Based on OSS note

 

1520390 - Activation of Enhanced Rebate Functionalities - IMG Customizing Transactions - SAP Menu, We need to activate Enterprise extension EA-ISE from SFW5 transaction.

 

How is it possible that we can see the transactions available in the IMG screen and able to use them though we have not activated EA-ISE .

 

Please advise.

Hello,

 

After upgradin to Enhancement Pack 7,

All the reports  (SAP and Own reports) under the transactions F.97, F.98 and F.99 are displayedbutDO NOT RUN.

In the DEBUG,  I see that the SUMBIT instructions were made IN COMMENT in the program MSERPF21.

Why this change ?

 

Do you have any explanation ?

Error in Specify Credentials step of SUM

Hi Guys,

 

Here is the error message, which I get when providing the <sid>adm password.

 

The update tool was unable to connect to the SAPControl web service on any of the detected instance numbers. Check that the SAP Start Services are running for all instances in the cluster. See SAP Note 1401712 for further information. Error while gathering information for all cluster instances from the instance with number <nn> on host <hostname> using the SAPControl web service API. For more information, see SAP Note 1401712. The method getSystemInstanceList returned more than one entry for the instance with number nn on host <hostname> and the two entries have different states.

 

Any clue to it?

Upgrade from ECC 6.0 EHP5 to EHP7

Is it possible to upgrade my SAP system from ECC 6.0 EHP5 to EHP7? or do I need to perform the upgrade to EHP6 first and then from EHP6 to EHP7?

 

My system is currently on

  • SAP_BASIS 7.02
  • SAP_APPL 605
  • EA-APPL 605

Hi all,

 

I'm currently planning the implementation of a upgrade to EhP7 from a ERP 6.0

 

Analyzing the documentation I have some information that is contradictory, since in all places I have the confirmation I can do the Enhancement package installation directly (in a single step), but there is a single note that puzzles me:

“If your source system is on ERP 6.0, the minimum NW SP level should be SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS14 for you to trigger an upgrade to EHP7.”

Now my question is, is this upgrade done in the shadow instance automatically by SUM, meaning that I don’t need to pre-install the SPs before the upgrade, or I need to do it before?

SUM Screen Blank

Hi Guys,

 

I am facing a strange error while performing an upgrade via SUM.

Upgrade is in preprocessing stage and it so happened that upon reaching the SPDD phase,for some reason, the options were greyed out. So we restarted the SUM and since then it is showing a blank screen.

 

 

Any clue to it?

Error during phase PREP_INPUT/KX_CPYCHK

Hi all,

 

I am performing EHP7 upgrade from EHP6 and keep getting error below:

 

The new SAP tools in /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/abap/exe cannot connect to your database.

 

 

Checking in DBCONNCHK.LOG, error below is found:

 

Connect via SAPUSER not supported for kernel >=740. Only Secure Connect method possible.

 

 

This is pointing me to SAP Note 1622837 - connection problem to Oracle via SSFS.

 

 

Based on the note, I have performed the following:

 

- using <sid>adm, created directory in <dir_global>/security/rsecssfs/data & <dir_global>/security/rsecssfs/key

- chmod 700 to all directories

- maintaind SSFS profile parameters

- set environment varible RSEC_SSFS_DATAPATH & RSEC_SSFS_KEYPATH in Linux

- executed rsecssfx put DB_CONNECT/DEFAULT_DB_USER SAPSR3 -plain

- executed rsecssfx put DB_CONNECT/DEFAULT_DB_PASSOWRD <password>   (password consists only alphabet and numbers)

- chmod 600 to SSFS_<sid>.DAT file

- created external encrytion key, with same permission (600)

- profile parameter rsdb/ssfs_connect = 1  added

- set env variable rsdb_ssfs_connect = 1

- restart SAP

 

I checked in wp trace, and I can see entries like "connect info for default DB will be read from ssfs".

Same for R3trans -d.

 

 

After all the steps above, I'm still getting the same error when re-execute the same phase in SUM. Any clue?

Current kernel 721_EXT_REL, linuxx86_64 unicode.

Note 1861581 - SAP Best Practices Add-on Installation;DVD 'BP BAIO 2013-Q3' and

Note 1301301 - Release Strategy for SAP Best Practices Package ABAP Add-ons

don't contain any information about EHP7.

Transports during EHP update

Hi Forum Members

    

Please could you help with the following question:

    

We are updating our ERP 6 system from EHP5 SPS08 to EHP6 SPS09. We are using the Software Update Manager (SUM) to perform this update.

 

Could you please clarify what stage during the implementation is the last point at which transports can be imported to a system that is being
updated with SUM?

 

For example we have a transport that has been released from Development and is sat in the import queue for Test. Development has been
updated to EHP6 since the transport was released so is at a higher level than Test – we have no temporary / emergency Development system.

 

We want to leave the import of this transport into the Test system at the very latest we can during the running of SUM. When is this?

 

I know there is a stage when the workbench is locked, but that doesn’t matter for Test as we don’t develop there. So can we still import the outstanding transport that is in the queue for Test when the workbench is locked? If so, when is the latest point at which we can import this?
